Who We Are
Rotary Club of Lahore Sharqi was chartered on 10 October, 1969, sharing the territory of Rotary Club of Lahore. The word Sharqi (East) was chosen to define the territory on the East side of the Canal whichruns through the city. Since then a number of clubs have been chartered in and around the city where the territories of the two clubs have been
shared in order to expand the scope of service to the communities through Rotary. The fifty two years of the club have been something of which each member is proud of. Its members have been involved in various district
assignments. In all district events our members have participated whole heartedly in big numbers. On six occasions the District has been led by Sharqians as District Governors. Sharqians are very proud of the fact that it has been acknowledged many times as the Best Family Club of the District. We are a complete Rotary family with the Rotaract and Interact clubs and the Inner Wheel club fully supporting and furthering the cause of Rotary Service to the communities.The Club has supported the Rotary foundation in a big way and our all time contributions cross 217,169 US Dollars. Hosting of GSE Teams and Friendship Exchange programs with other districts has earned a lot of friends for the club through out the Rotary World.

Saifullah Ejaz Chouhdary was born in Feb 06, 1970 and raised in a small village of a small town, Samundari district Faisalabad. His parents and his grand parent were migrated from Amritsar, India to Pakistan in August 1947 after Indo-Pak partition. He completed his basic education from his native area schools and then shifted to Faisalabad city for his intermediate school education. He was shifted to Lahore for his graduation and he Completed his graduation from UET, Lahore in Civil Engineering with distinction. Afterward he joined a renowned engineering firm and started his career as an engineer. ln 2003 he got a scholarship and completed his Masters in Geographic Information System in 2005.
Saifullah Ejaz Chouhdary is a born volunteer and working as a President of CHARAG Foundation and taking care of 105 schools on the concept of one room one school system. This is a charity school system and giving a quality education to the children of poorer of the poorest in the vicinity of Lahore and Faisalabad districts.
Saifullah Ejaz Chouhdary joined Rotary in 2012 from Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison and later on he started another club with the name of Rotary Club of Lahore Crescent. His club is working on all areas of focus with the major focus on Education, Clean drinking water and Mother and child health. His club is taking care of two schools and set three computer labs, 7 RO Plants in the vicinity of Lahore city, 7 Ping-Pong fixed table tennis, 3 health camps every year and 10 weddings of poor girls every year. RC Lahore Crescent is also working with Jinnah Medical Complex, which is working as a polyclinic, free for all.
Saifullah Ejaz Chouhdary served as club president in 2013-14 and awarded as an out standing President. During his tenure RC Lahore Crescent was declared an out standing club. He served on many club positions and currently he is serving as executive secretary of his club. Saifullah Ejaz Chouhdary was awarded the BEST ROTARIAN in RI District 3272 in the year of 2015-16. He served on many important district positions including but not limited to, District Chair Water conservation, District Endowment & Major Gift Advisor, District Chair Rotary Public Image, District Chair Rotary Global Rewards, District Chair Hepatitis awareness, prevention &treatment, Co- Chair Rotary International Convention Promotion & Co-Chair membership Development.
Saifullah Ejaz Chouhdary attended Rotary International Institute at Bangkok, Thailand and Regional Training Seminar at Bangkok, Thailand. He also attended many district conferences. He also served as trainer in district training team with many district governors as one of a main trainer.
Saifullah Ejaz Chouhdary happily married to Sidrah Saif. They have four children, 3 boys, Chouhdary Muhammad abdullah bin Saifullah, Chouhdary Muhammad Touceef Ahmad bin Saifullah, Chouhdary Muhammad Esa Bukhash and a daughter Khadeeja Bukhash Chouhdary. His family is renowned as a rotary family. His spouse is a president of Rotary Club of Lahore Crescent (2019-20). His brothers, sisters, sisters in-law, brothers in law are active Rotarians and members of different rotary clubs in district 3272-Pakistan. His elder son Chouhdary Muhammad Abdullah bin Saifullah is a District inter-act representative (2019-20).
Saifullah Ejaz Chouhdary is a very generous donor and he and his spouse has donated more than 10,000 US a’s and a major donor level-1.

END POLIO NOW Pakistan Fights Polio
To celebrate Pakistan Resolution Day, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at Wazir Mansion, Karachi.
Messages to raise awareness about POLIO vaccination were also share as SSP City Sarfaraz Nawaz & Sector Commander Col. Waqas administered polio drops to a child to inaugurate the Polio Campaign.
